Chairman Nadler Lauds Biden-Harris Day One Memorandum Ordering Regulatory Freeze

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) released the following statement on the memorandum of Ronald A. Klain, Assistant to President Joe Biden and Chief of Staff, ordering a freeze on non-essential regulatory activity pending review:

“As promised, President Biden and Vice President Harris are putting our health, safety, and environment first. Today’s action by the Biden Administration will finally end the reckless agenda that put corporate special interests ahead of the safety of our families and communities. This is an important first step in turning the page so that our government can get to work to hold corporations accountable and keep our environment clean and safe for generations to come.”
