Nadler Statement on President Biden's Supplemental Funding Request

"In his supplemental funding request to Congress, President Biden has presented the case for advancing the United States’ national security priorities at home and abroad.

This request will ensure the continued flow of security assistance to Israel, support Israel’s efforts to defend itself, and help secure the release of hostages held by Hamas, while meeting the humanitarian needs of the civilian population of Gaza. The funding assists our allies in Ukraine as they continue to fight an unjust war waged by Vladimir Putin. When it comes to the challenges we currently face at the southwest border, there are provisions in the supplemental I have significant concerns about, however, it does provide for critical resources including funding additional immigration judges, asylum officers, and expanded legal pathways that I have been fighting for in the House Judiciary Committee.

Now that President Biden has come to the table, House Republicans must find a bipartisan path forward to reopen the House and let us get back to work for the American people."
