Nadler Comments on Passage of House Budget Resolution

Washington, D.C. — Following the passage of the historic Build Back Better budget resolution in the House of Representatives, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) issued the following statement:

“Today, the House took an important step towards delivering on House Democrats’ historic agenda. This budget is a major investment in our families, seniors, workers, and children. Expanding Medicare will provide vision, dental and hearing coverage for millions of seniors while families will now have paid leave when they need it. The Build Back Better Plan extends the Child Tax Credit for working families, delivering one of the largest tax cuts for American families ever. And along with creating millions of good jobs, the House passed budget blueprint also addresses the climate crisis by lowering carbon emissions by 50 percent by 2030. This bold, progressive budget will have a positive impact on every single American family and I look forward to passing the final product in the coming weeks.”
