Nadler Expresses Disgust at Shooting at National Holocaust Museum in Washington

In response to the shooting today at the National Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C., Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) issued the following statement:

“A deranged gunman shooting anybody is a terrible crime and a tragedy. But to target a specific community, in this case the Jewish community, with hatred in his heart makes the act even more heinous and disgusting. It is particularly abhorrent that the gunman would choose to express such violence at the National Holocaust Museum, a hallowed place with the very purpose of chronicling and preventing the evils of hatred, racism and violence. My gratitude goes out to the heroic security guards who stopped the shooter, and I send my deepest sympathies to the family of the security guard whose life was lost.”
