Congressman Jerrold Nadler (NY-10), Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet and senior member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, announced that Daniel Schwarz has begun serving as his new Communications Director.
“Daniel brings extensive political experience and a unique perspective to communications, which I know will help me in serving the people of New York,” said Congressman Nadler. “We are glad to have him as a member of our team and I look forward to working with him as we continue to fight for progressive values.”
Prior to joining Congressman Nadler’s office, Mr. Schwarz worked on several domestic and international campaigns as a communications and messaging consultant. After completing his Master’s Degree at the London School of Economics, he served as Communications and Research Director for the Pennsylvania House Democratic Campaign Committee during the 2012 election cycle before moving to New York to work at Portland Communications, a global communications and public relations firm. His work has taken him around the world, working with political parties and candidates in the U.K., Kenya, Serbia, Ukraine, Romania and Israel.
“Congressman Nadler’s record as a champion for progressive causes, someone who fights for what he believes in and is not afraid to speak up, stands out as a model of leadership,” said Mr. Schwarz. “I have long admired the passion and dedication Congressman Nadler has shown and I am honored to be joining such an accomplished team.”
Mr. Schwarz replaces Aaron Keyak, who worked as Congressman Nadler’s Communications Director and Middle East advisor for more than a year, and is now heading a new communications firm – Blue Light Strategies.
