One of a Congressional office's primary functions is to provide direct service to constituents. I’m proud to employ a full staff of case workers whose job is to help residents of the 12th Congressional District of New York. While we cannot guarantee you a favorable outcome, we will do our best to help you receive a fair and timely response from the government agency involved.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of State suspended routine (non-emergency) visa services at US Embassies and Consulates worldwide in March 2020. A phased resumption of routine services began in July 2020, based on capacity and public health guidelines specific to each location. Please check each US Embassy or Consulate website for information on current services and operating status. My staff cannot compel an Embassy or Consulate to resume specific services, nor are we able to estimate when a location may return to processing at pre-pandemic workload levels. We will continue to share updates from the Department of State as new information becomes available. Please also check the average USCIS processing times before submitting a casework request to my office. My staff cannot inquire about cases that are still processing normally within the posted timeframes.
If you would like to make an official request, please first complete the privacy authorization form, in compliance with the provisions of the Privacy Act, by clicking the button below. Then after you've completed the privacy authorization form, fill out the rest of the form on this page and briefly describe the problem you are having. My staff will get back to you shortly in an effort to help you.
