On April 13th, I hosted a public town hall meeting at Brandeis High School Campus and was pleased to be joined by nearly 1,000 constituents to hear their questions and comments. At the event, I discussed the issues facing Congress, including the GOP's efforts to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, the president's recent actions and what I feel are ongoing conflicts of interest, and what Democrats in Congress are doing to oppose his policies. The audience also had the opportunity to ask questions. Because there was not enough time to get to everyone, we continued the Town Hall on Twitter, where I responded to some of the most common questions submitted.

Demanding Answers from the Administration
Over the past few months, there have been multiple reports of White House officials concealing or failing to fully disclose connections with foreign powers, including Russia. Given Russia’s intervention in the 2016 election, the Administration should be fully complying with efforts to thoroughly investigate the matter. I have repeatedly called for a special prosecutor to be appointed, and for a 9/11-like independent commission to be created in order to ensure we have a full, honest investigation of this matter.

Letter on Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and a senior advisor in the White House, omitting details of meetings with Russian officials as part of his security clearance background check.
Letter concerning reports of Sebastian Gorka, senior White House counter-terrorism advisor, links to Hungarian far right, anti-Semitic group on State Department list of banned organizations.
Letter on Michael Flynn, Former National Security Advisor, requesting DOJ & FBI briefing about his Russian ties and any disciplinary actions by the Administration.
Letter concerning the removal of Steve Bannon, White House Chief Strategist, and his work on the National Security Council.
Letter on White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus' contacts with the FBI over Trump campaign communications with Russian agents.
